We will be celebrating the release of our debut CD "Where We Stand" at Chelsea's in Baton Rouge on Thursday August, 13, 2009. This is Anna's home turf so it should be a night full of awesome vibes. Special guests are so special you'll have to come and find out who they are. Music starts at 10pm. Shiz will play around 11:30.

The Indy Coffeehouse is turning Mother's Day into an women in music indiefest. The Shiz is the featured band for this event which will also host Melissa Simien, Renda Ruiz and other guests. The Indy is one of the best venues for all ages shows and supporters of local artists.

2/14/2010 - Helen's Hands ALL FOR LOVE Benefit Concert

This was the beginning of an ordeal that would irreparably change Helen Lindsey’s life forever. After hearing her story, your life will never be the same either. After a tenuous battle with bacterial meningitis resulting in a quadruple amputation, Helen is now near the top of the donor list for a double hand transplant, a surgery that would undeniably forever change her life once again. Helen Lindsey, a quadruple amputee who has turned every tragedy, every disaster, every tribulation into a personal triumph.
Lilli Lewis met Helen in 2003 when she joined the Lilli Lewis band as their talented and charismatic drummer. Helen was always the life of the party, but her strength, wisdom and compassion is what made her a true hero.
Lilli and a number of very special guests are hosting a benefit concert at the 5 Spot to raise money and awareness, promote Helen's documentary, and to celebrate her rich and beautiful life. The event will feature The Shiz, Elevate the Quest, Calvin Payne and other special guests.
